Whilst a substantial amount of work has been undertaken by the previous owners, leaving us with a solid and well refurbished structure, the building requires a significant amount of further works before we can open the doors to the community.

After the excellent support of the community, the funding is in place to begin the enabling works (such as drainage, water supply, electricity etc) and sufficient to get us to a soft opening by Summer 2026.
Grant funding is being sought to help develop the specific community room and reception area, offering a meeting space, space for events and once again establishing the pub as the village flood resilience centre. We aim to secure funding to also completely renovate the garden. These areas can and will operate separately to the 'spit and sawdust' pub operations.
Initially, the pub will be run by the Management Committee, with support from community volunteers.

As funds continue to come in, we will finalise the last stages of the project. Including the installation of a professional kitchen and the finishing touches to all the accommodation.
During this phase, we will begin the recruitment and selection of the tenants to continue the community focus of the pub for the long term,
