We are seeking a volunteer Marketing Manager to help drive fundraising and sponsorship for the restoration of the Brockweir Inn. This role will play a vital part in bringing the project to life by building awareness, engaging the community, and securing financial support.

What You’ll Do

Fundraising & Sponsorship Support

· Help develop and promote fundraising campaigns (e.g. crowdfunding, events, donor appeals)

· Assist in identifying and approaching local businesses and potential sponsors

· Support the creation of sponsorship packages and fundraising materials

Marketing & Communications

· Contribute to content for social media, newsletters, and the project website

· Help shape and maintain a clear, compelling project story

· Support the design or coordination of marketing materials (flyers, presentations, updates)

Community Engagement

· Help engage local residents and supporters through campaigns and storytelling

· Promote events and encourage community participation

· Share project updates to maintain enthusiasm and transparency

Media & Promotion

· Assist with drafting press releases and local media outreach

· Help generate positive publicity and awareness for the project

Skills & Experience

· Experience or strong interest in marketing, communications, or fundraising

· Good writing and communication skills

· Creative thinking and enthusiasm for storytelling

· Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Personal Qualities

· Passion for community projects and heritage preservation

· Proactive and reliable, with a flexible approach

· Comfortable working as part of a volunteer-led team
